Locke Clifford becomes a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States
Locke Clifford joined other alumni of the North Carolina School of Law in a group admission on Monday, December 7, 2009. Chief Justice John Roberts admitted the Carolina Law graduates to the nation’s highest court.
The group enjoyed two days of festivities in Washington, D.C. including a welcome dinner for alumni in the nation’s capital at the Chevy Chase Club on Sunday, December 6. The official swearing in ceremony took place at the Supreme Court on Monday and the group stayed for oral arguments present to the court. A luncheon was held at the Metropolitan Club.
On Monday evening, the group joined other UNC Law School alumni in the DC area and together enjoyed a talk by Duke Law Professor Scott Silliman, UNC Law School Class of 1968, entitled “Crucial National Issues Facing the Obama Administration.” This was followed by a cocktail reception at the Metropolitan Club.

We accept N.C. District Court criminal cases in Guilford County- including Greensboro and High Point, NC.
We accept N.C. Superior Court criminal cases in Guilford County- including Greensboro and High Point, NC.
We go to District Court in Guilford County- Greensboro and High Point, NC- for 50Bs and 50Cs.
Locke will consider an out of county NC District Court case on a very limited case by case basis.
Locke will consider an out of county NC Superior Court case on a case by case basis.
We accept Misdemeanor cases in the Middle District of NC Federal Court in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and sometimes Statesville and Durham, NC.
We accept Felony cases in the Middle District of NC Federal Court in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Durham and Statesville, NC and on a case by case basis in any federal court in the US.
We accept Federal civil forfeiture cases, post- conviction work and investigations on a case by case basis.
We do private prosecutions in state court on a case by case basis.
